Phenomenal work. I had no problems running on ultra graphics and large platoon size. The AI is great at taking cover in dips and craters. The AI does tend to clump up, so a single well placed shell will take out a platoon huddling in a crater. Also, the units should be able to move left and right, as well as front and back. In one game, the British took the German left, and Germans took the British left. The centers got traded back and forth, but the flank units never turned to the center to clear out the trench. I eagerly look forward to this game. I might break my 'no early access' rule for this.
Could see a large amount of potential for this game. Given how this is a prototype, I find the AI to be well optimized for this type of setting. The way they assume positions on their own without intervention is impressive as well.
I think that a change in the letter font would go a long way. Being able to just select a platoon on the map to spawn on an officer there would be pretty nice rather then maneuvering up to an individual soldier. If your going to ad vehicles, don't forget horses (they are very underappreciated!) Falling to the ground when you die would be cool too. Sometimes I freeze when I die or try to respawn and when I'm on a slope and I crouch to take cover then pop back up to shoot, I only pop up a little bit. Super fun though, keep it up!
The game is pretty cool for a prototype and i really enjoined it . They were some gliches thats ok . I suggest you to put bayonets to kill from close quorters and whistles to know when the attack will begin . The main gliches are that you can spawn behind the enemy . And when you wnat to become a soldier with machine it spawns you with your rifle . Also you cant pick teams but thats ok because i know you are still working on this game. And one last thing i wa lagging a little but this is my fault for sure and i have suggested to a lot of friends to play it .
I have been playing your game for about an hour, and it is awesome. I have been able to have about 400 troops at once with max settings and the game still runs smoothly. A simple visual bug which I find a little annoying is when you aim in at a surface, the iron sight clips into the ground. I am very excited about the future of this game.
I played this for like 45 minutes and other then lag nothing was wrong with it.I am really hyped for the future when thiss becomes a full game with everything it has to offer. keep up the good work
It would be awesome if there was a whistling noise whenever your army rushes the next trench because that's normally how the British would signal the start of a trench rush (I think) Someone please tell me if I'm wrong
Well as to be expected it is missing many graphics and features, but this is just a prototype. Now with that in mind this is incredible. Now gameplay considering this is a prototype it isn't good but it shows the potential of what it will have in the full steam release (go whishlist). The fact that in this stage of development it has an AI that can have its own squads that will command them selves into tactical positions is mind blowing. On top of that the feel it gives by being a ww1 trench warfare game is amazing for being in this state. For the people looking to download I would keep a look out for a later date when there are more version available but would recommend. To the dev if he see this you are doing a great job and keep going.
how to download and play:download it,check downloads folder,click on rising front,there should be an other thing named RF build(click it),there should be another thing named rising front in the RF folder(4rth thing down),click it,something should appear and you can handle it from there,after you have clicked ok on the Zip thing(green progress bar),the 4rth thing in the RF build folder will have a unity logo,click on that and have fun seeing men be cut down by bullets .(will show screenshots if needed)(its 1.3 now)

I had this issue too. Try joining the other side, that solved the problem for me.
